Is This Right for You?

When Your Health Numbers Keep Moving in the Wrong Direction

You may be making changes, taking medication, or monitoring your lab results and still feel like something is being missed. Cardiometabolic care may be appropriate if you want a physician to look at how your health concerns connect and develop a more coordinated plan.
  • Your blood pressure, blood sugar, or cholesterol continues to rise
  • You have several related health concerns being treated separately
  • Weight changes are affecting your energy, mobility, or health markers
  • You have been diagnosed with prediabetes or fatty liver disease
  • You want to understand what your lab results mean for your long-term health
  • You need a realistic plan that considers your medical history and daily life
Understanding the Connection

Your Heart and Metabolic Health Are Closely Connected

Cardiometabolic health describes how your heart, blood vessels, blood sugar, cholesterol, liver health, and body weight affect one another. A change in one area can increase the likelihood of problems developing elsewhere.

For example, insulin resistance may contribute to higher blood sugar, weight gain, elevated triglycerides, and fatty liver disease. Poor sleep, chronic stress, limited activity, medications, hormonal changes, and family history can also influence these patterns.

Rather than focusing on one result at a time, Doctor Hudson considers how these factors work together. This creates a clearer picture of your health and helps identify the changes that may have the greatest impact.

Areas of Care

Cardiometabolic Conditions We Can Help Address

Capital Healing provides individualized support for patients managing one condition or several overlapping concerns. Care may include lifestyle recommendations, medication management, additional testing, and coordination with your other healthcare providers when needed.

High Blood Pressure
Identify lifestyle, weight, medication, and other factors that may be contributing to elevated blood pressure.

Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes
Develop a plan to improve blood sugar management, reduce risk factors, and support your health alongside appropriate medical care.

High Cholesterol and Triglycerides
Review your results in the context of your diet, activity level, family history, medications, and overall cardiovascular risk.

Fatty Liver Disease
Address weight, blood sugar, cholesterol, nutrition, and other factors that may be affecting liver health.

Weight Gain and Obesity
Explore sustainable lifestyle changes and, when appropriate, medical weight loss treatment as part of a broader health plan.

Metabolic Changes During Midlife
Evaluate weight, sleep, energy, and other concerns that may overlap with perimenopause and menopause

A Complete Evaluation

Looking Beyond a Single Lab Result

Cardiometabolic health is influenced by more than one number. Based on your symptoms, history, and individual needs, Doctor Hudson may evaluate:

  • Blood pressure patterns
  • Blood sugar, fasting glucose, and A1C
  • Cholesterol and triglycerides
  • Liver health and relevant laboratory results
  • Weight, waist measurements, and body composition
  • Current medications and previous treatment
  • Nutrition and physical activity
  • Sleep, stress, and daily routines
  • Personal and family medical history

The goal ris to understand how these factors may be connected and determine which changes could make the most meaningful difference.

What to Expect

A Personalized Plan Built Around Your Health

Your care begins with a thorough evaluation and continues with practical recommendations, appropriate medical treatment, and follow-up support. Every plan is shaped around your health concerns, medical history, goals, and daily life.

Comprehensive evaluation and lab review

Your first appointment includes a detailed review of your symptoms, health history, medications, previous lab results, lifestyle, and goals. Doctor Hudson will determine whether additional testing or information is needed.

Lifestyle as medicine

Your plan may include nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and behavior-focused recommendations. Medication may also be prescribed or adjusted when it is medically appropriate.

Medication management when it’s warranted

Follow-up appointments are used to review your progress, discuss challenges, monitor relevant health markers, and adjust your plan. Recommendations can evolve as your health and needs change.
