Why now

You Know Something Needs to Change. You Just Need the Right Plan.

Maybe your weight has become harder to manage. Your blood pressure, blood sugar, or cholesterol may be moving in the wrong direction. Or perhaps the changes of midlife have left you feeling like your body is operating by a different set of rules.

These concerns often overlap, and treating them one at a time can leave you without a clear understanding of the bigger picture. Capital Healing is for adults who are ready to stop:

  • Trying generic plans that do not reflect their health history
  • Being told to “try harder” without meaningful medical support
  • Watching weight or metabolic concerns gradually worsen
  • Leaving appointments without a clear, realistic plan
  • Putting their health on the back burner
What Comes Next

  • A clear explanation of what may be affecting your health
  • Practical nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress strategies
  • Medication management when clinically appropriate
  • Focused support for weight, metabolic health, and midlife changes

Paying for Care

Know Your Options Before You Get Started

Capital Healing accepts several insurance plans for eligible patients in North Carolina:
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina
  • Brighton Health
  • Aetna/North Carolina State Health Plan
  • Traditional Medicare

Self-pay is also available. Outside North Carolina, Capital Healing serves patients with traditional Medicare—not Medicare Advantage—as well as patients who choose to self-pay.

Coverage and out-of-pocket costs can vary by plan and treatment.

Getting Started

Personalized Care From the First Conversation Forward

Capital Healing does not begin with a preset program or one-size-fits-all plan. Doctor Hudson first takes the time to understand your health history, current concerns, laboratory results, medications, goals, and daily life.

1. Schedule Your Appointment
Tell us where you are located, what you would like help with, and whether you are interested in an office, telehealth, or mobile visit.

2. Meet With Doctor Hudson
Your first appointment includes a comprehensive evaluation, with a physical examination and laboratory review when appropriate.

3. Begin Your Personalized Plan
Doctor Hudson will develop a plan that may include lifestyle changes, medication management, additional testing, and ongoing follow-up based on your individual needs.

Frequently asked questions

Every patient begins from a different place, so the timeline depends on your health, goals, treatment plan, and consistency. Some patients notice early changes in areas such as energy, habits, or how they feel, while improvements in weight, laboratory results, and chronic health concerns generally require more time. Doctor Hudson will monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed.

Yes. Capital Healing provides focused support for weight management, cardiometabolic health, and midlife concerns, but it does not replace your primary care provider. Doctor Hudson serves as a specialty partner on your healthcare team and can work alongside your PCP as you pursue your health goals.

Weight loss varies based on factors such as your starting point, medical history, treatment plan, medication use, and consistency. Rather than promising a specific number, Doctor Hudson will help you establish realistic goals and track your progress over time.

For self-pay patients, new patient visits and comprehensive consultations are $330, while follow-up visits are $200. Ongoing lifestyle medicine memberships range from $120 to $295 per month, depending on the level of care and visit frequency. Medication and outside laboratory costs are billed separately. View the complete pricing information to compare individual visits, memberships, and additional fees.

In North Carolina, Capital Healing accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Brighton Health, Aetna/North Carolina State Health Plan, and traditional Medicare. Patients outside North Carolina may use traditional Medicare—not Medicare Advantage—or choose the self-pay option. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs can vary, so patients should confirm their benefits before scheduling.
